Our production process begins with the extraction of the mineral gypsum that is found as rock in its natural state.
With strict process controls, we select the material that meets the characteristics of purity and color that our various customers demand, and then it is sent to the production plants.
The gypsum ore that arrives in the form of stone is pulverized to a particle size that meets the specifications of our various products.
The gypsum that is now in powder form is fed into a calcination system where, through the combustion of natural gas above 1,832ºF (1000ºC), the necessary temperature is applied to evaporate part of the water chemically combined with the gypsum powder.
It is in this part of the production process where we provide the gypsum the setting properties that distinguish us in the different market segments in which we participate. In this process, the gypsum is enriched with chemical additives that modify its performance to meet the requirements of the applications in the Ceramics and Crafts Industry.
Finally, the gypsum is packaged according to the presentation of each product, either in paper Sacks or super Sacks for industrial use.
